Thyroid Nodule Management : Current Concepts & Updates One-Day CME & Workshop

A one-day CME was organized  by Department of Interventional Radiology, Believers Hospital to discuss current concepts and updates in thyroid nodule management. The event was attended by  doctors from various specialities across Kerala, and was inaugurated by Dr. Rajesh Antony, Senior Consultant in Interventional Radiology.

The inaugural session was graced by Dr. John Valliath, Associate Director of Believers Hospital; Dr. Abel K. Samuel, Deputy Medical Superintendent; Dr. Tom George, Senior Consultant & Head of the Department of Interventional Radiology; and Senior Consultant Dr. Aswin Padmanabhan.

Detailed sessions were conducted on approach towards diagnosis of thyroid nodules, advanced surgical procedures, and modern non-surgical treatment methods. Experts explained the diagnostic approach to thyroid nodules as well as benefits of minimally invasive interventional radiology treatment options such as Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), Microwave Ablation and Thyroid Artery Embolization along with advances in the surgery.
