A Proud Beginning: UNITED '26 Opens at Believers Hospital

8 October marked a proud beginning for Believers hospital.  Organised by the Department of Emergency Medicine, the third edition of UNITED '26 opened at the Believers Convention Centre, Thiruvalla. 

Themed "Hospital Disaster Preparedness & Management", the three-day international conference marked the launch of South India's first WHO Academy-affiliated Mass Casualty Management Programme.
The programme is delivered with Wayne State University, USA, and the WHO Collaborating Centre, AIIMS New Delhi.

Prof. Dr George Chandy Matteethra inaugurated the conference, with Mr Sunny Kuruvilla presiding. Dr Vijaya Arunkumar gave the keynote address. Dr Jiju Joseph, Dr Abel K. Samuel Johnson, Dr Lailu Mathews and Rev. Fr. Thomas Varughese also spoke. Dr Vijaya Arunkumar, Dr Shreesha Nayak, Dr Abhiraj R, Dr Ashwin S Raj, Dr Archana Nair and Dr Babu Mohammed Rafi V were honoured for their contribution.

Together, we are preparing today for the emergencies of tomorrow.
