IDCCN Inaugurated: A New Chapter for Critical Care Nursing
Date:  15-10-2026

The Department of Critical Care Medicine reached a meaningful milestone on 15 October with the inauguration of the Indian Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (IDCCN). The course is a one-year specialised training programme offered and certified by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Believers Hospital Director & CEO, Dr George Chandy Matteethra formally inaugurated the programme. The lamp was lit by him together with Dr John Valliattu, Dr Abel, Dr Elizabeth, Dr Philip Mathew, Dr Alex (IDCCM Course Director), Dr Novin C John (IDCCN Course Director) and Nurse Managers Mrs Shiney and Mrs Jancy. After a blessing prayer by Rev Thomas Achan, Dr Novin C John spoke about how the course will deepen nurses’ expertise in critical care and emergency management.

Behind every recovery in the ICU is a nurse who never looked away, and this course is our promise to stand behind them.

Empowering nurses, enhancing critical care, saving lives.
