A First in the Nation, Onco-Nephrology Now at Believers Hospital!

Believers Hospital has introduced the first Onco-Nephrology division in India, offering specialized kidney care for cancer patients around the clock. A dedicated Onco-Nephrology Clinic will be available every Wednesday from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Nephrology OPD on the second floor, under the care of Dr. Geo Philip John (Senior Consultant). Patients can also be consulted on other days through the General Nephrology OPD. To enhance accessibility, telemedicine services are provided daily, ensuring comprehensive kidney care for all cancer patients. 24/7 Onco-Nephrology service is available for patients admitted to the hospital. 

Services provided by the Onco Nephrology Division:

1. Nephrology clearance before starting Chemotherapy

2. Electrolyte disorders related to Cancer or Cancer treatment

3. Myeloma related kidney disease

4. Paraneoplastic renal diseases

5. Renal dysfunction post Stem cell/Bone marrow transplant

6. Nephrotoxicity from traditional chemotherapy or targeted therapy

7. Renal dose adjustment for Antibiotic/Chemotherapy drugs

8. Counselling regarding goals of care with emphasis on kidney disease
