The Department of Anaesthesiology's Acute Pain Services, together with the Department of Nursing, successfully conducted a Hands-on Workshop titled "Empowering Nurses in Modern Acute Pain Management" on 11th July 2026 at Believers Hospital.
The event, held under the esteemed patronage of Rev. Fr. Sijo Pandapallil and Prof. Dr. George Chandy Matteethra, welcomed nursing staff from various clinical areas for hands-on training in pain assessment, epidural and PCA care, non-pharmacological pain management and simulation-based emergency recognition.
As part of the ongoing expansion of Acute Pain Services since its inception in January 2024, the workshop reaffirmed the crucial role nursing professionals play in perioperative pain management and enhanced recovery after surgery.
