The Department of Breast & Endocrine Surgery conducted a one-day CME program to conclude their month-long campaign on ”PINK OCTOBER” to spread awareness and provide new insight into breast cancer.

The program was conducted on 27th October 2023. The occasion was graced with the presence of Dr. MJ PAUL, Professor and Head of Endocrine Surgery, CMC Vellore and Dr. Arun Sasikumar, Head of Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT, St. Gregorious International Cancer Care Center Parumala as the chief guests.

The CME program dealt with all the aspects of breast cancer in a systematic manner starting with simple yet elaborate lectures on the role of imaging to pathological insights, various surgical methods, and softer issues such as the psycho-social burden on the family of the patient. It was concluded with the career options in nursing care exclusive to treating breast cancer patients.

Multiple panel discussions were held on the topic of Early and Metastatic Breast cancer which received a lot of participation from the audience. Our audience included Multi-disciplinary faculty from Believers MCH and outside.
