The Department of Neurology (Believers Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke -BINDS) and the Believers Advanced Stroke Intervention Centre (BASIC) conducted the World Stroke Day celebrations at Believers Hospital.
The programme was officially inaugurated and keynoted by Dr. George Chandy Matteethra, who emphasized the crucial need for a coordinated stroke response and elevated community awareness.
The event began with a prayer and a welcome address by Dr. Anjana Sajith. Dr. Jerry A. George and Dr. Aswin Padmanabhan presented an overview of the hospital's comprehensive Stroke Program, after which Dr. Joban John delivered the vote of thanks. The session also featured Patient experience sharing, offering meaningful reflections on recovery and the impact of prompt care.
The event concluded with a Quiz Competition conducted by Dr. Harikrishnan R for MBBS students. Alongside the main programme, a Stroke Risk Assessment Stall and a Reels Competition encouraged greater awareness and participation across the campus.
