RACTHAM hosted the 6th Annual Meeting of the Haematology Cancer Consortium on 9 and 10 October 2026, bringing together healthcare professionals and researchers from across India with one shared goal: better care for patients with blood cancers.
The meeting was inaugurated by Prof. Dr George Chandy Matteethra, in the presence of Dr John Valliattu, Mr Sunny Kuruvilla, Dr Chepsy C. Philip and Rev. Deacon Abhijith S.
The first day focused on those closest to patients. Nurses took part in a workshop on bone marrow transplantation nursing, infection prevention, patient mental health and multidisciplinary care, while data-entry operators were trained to strengthen the accuracy of the consortium’s patient registries.
On the second day, Dr Joy Mamman, Dr Jacob John and Ms Ria Khurana led sessions on Artificial Intelligence in medical research, covering its opportunities, challenges, ethics and its use in extracting data from electronic medical records.
Two days of learning, one renewed promise: to keep working together for every patient.
