The Department of Pathology organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme titled "PULMOVERITAS '25" on September 13, 2025 , focusing on the latest developments in pulmonary pathology. The event provided a platform for eminent experts to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and present recent advancements in the field.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. John Valliathu in the presence of Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Joseph (Organizing Chairperson & Principal), Dr. Vijayamma K. N, Prof. Dr. Kavitha Ravi, and Dr. Letha V.

The scientific sessions featured lectures by Prof. Dr. Luke Mathew on the clinician's perspective in pulmonary pathology, Prof. Dr. Debasis Gohhait (JIPMER Puducherry) on WHO reporting of lung cytopathology, Prof. Dr. Thomas Alex Kodiatte (CMC Vellore) on interstitial lung disease, and Prof. Dr. Anitha Mathews (HOD, RCC Thiruvananthapuram) on decoding lung tumor biopsies with molecular aspects.

The programme saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 85-90 delegates. The afternoon session featured an interactive slide seminar that sparked lively discussions on a broad range of lung diseases. 

The CME concluded with a valedictory session led by the organizing secretaries, Dr. Blessy Mary Thomas and Dr. Dahlia Joseph, and received widespread appreciation from faculty members, residents, and clinicians alike.
