Date:  19-06-2026

The Central Library of Believers Hospital marked National Reading Day on the 19th of June 2026 with BiblioReadX–2026, a lively and meaningful celebration that brought together faculty, students, and staff in a shared embrace of literature and learning.

The programme commenced with a prayer by Fr. Abhijith, followed by the inauguration by Dr. Elizabeth Joseph, who eloquently underscored the importance of reading in today's ever-evolving healthcare landscape. The Reading Day Oath, administered by Dr. Suma Thomas, and insightful talks by Mr. Sunny Kuruvila, Associate Director of BCMCH, added depth and inspiration to the occasion, ahead of the much-anticipated release of VAIGHARI, the BCMCH Literary Magazine, launched online by Dr. George Chandy Mattethra, Director and CEO of BCMCH.

Best Library Users were recognised and literary competition prize winners were honoured, rounding off a celebration that reaffirmed BCMCH's enduring belief that readers are the foundation of a knowledgeable, compassionate, and forward-thinking healthcare community.
