MEDICON 2026: A Day of Advanced Clinical Learning and Collaboratio

MEDICON 2026, the annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference organised by the Department of Internal Medicine, was successfully held on 17 May 2026 at Believers Hospital.

The conference brought together distinguished clinicians, specialists and medical professionals from across the region for a day of enriching academic exchange. The scientific programme covered a wide range of clinically relevant topics, including recurrent urinary tract infection, therapeutic drug monitoring, cardiac arrhythmias, high-resolution CT of the lungs, medical management of Parkinson’s disease, acid–base homeostasis, DMARDs in rheumatoid arthritis, GLP?1 receptor agonists, and the integration of rapid molecular panels into clinical practice.

The event took place under the distinguished patronage of Metropolitan Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus, Hospital Manager Rev. Fr. Sijo Pandapallil, Director & CEO Dr. George Chandy Matteethra, Rev. Dr. Daniel Johnson, Dr. Elizabeth Joseph and Dr. S. K. Mathew.The conference was ably led by Dr. Jency Maria Koshy, Dr. Shahul Hameed M. M., and Dr. Chris Philip Mathew, supported by a dedicated organising committee.
