Believers Church Medical College Hospital (BCMCH) marked a new era in Pathanamthitta's healthcare landscape by launching E-Cell BCMCH in collaboration with E-Cell IIT Bombay on December 1, 2024. Building on this momentum, BCMCH’s E-Cell is evolving into an Empowerment Cell, fostering evidence-based innovation and entrepreneurship through cross-sectoral collaborations to develop global health solutions. This platform will be spearheaded by BCMCH students with support and guidance from the faculty.
The launch featured esteemed speakers, including Prof. Dr. Ninan Sajith Philip, Dr. Geetha Paul of Airis 4D, Prof. Dr. Santosh Simon from Providence Engineering college, Mr. Deepak Ranjan of TechMaghi, and Mr. Jikku James from Ideagora, whose insights inspired the BCMCH community to channel innovation for social good.
The Illuminate Workshop conducted on December 1 was a milestone event, with 96 medical students registering, laying the groundwork for transformative healthcare solutions.Early achievements include participation in IIT Bombay’s Ambassador program, National Entrepreneurship Challenge and hosting activities like Eureka, igniting a culture of innovation within the institution.
Partnering with eminent organisations like Kerala Startup Mission's IEDC, Airis 4D and the International Public Health Innovation Hub, BCMCH’s E-Cell aspires to create a dynamic ecosystem, catalysing change in healthcare through evidence-based innovations and entrepreneurship.
