Pioneering the Future of Blood Cancer Care: Believers Hospital's 2026 Summit

The Believers Blood Cancer Summit 2026 brought together some of the finest minds in haematological medicine under one roof, as Believers Hospital successfully hosted this premier academic conference jointly organised by the Departments of Clinical Haematology, Haemato-Oncology, CAR-T Cell Therapy, and Stem Cell Transplantation. 

Expert faculty from Mayo Clinic (USA), Malabar Cancer Centre, Regional Cancer Centre Thiruvananthapuram, Amala and Amrita Institutes of Medical Sciences, and Government Medical College Kottayam convened to advance understanding in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and leukaemia.

The summit was elevated by the inauguration of the Mor Athanasius Yohan I Legacy Oration — instituted in loving memory of Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan. Dr. Biju George, Director and Professor of Haematology at CMC Vellore and a nationally celebrated leader in stem cell transplantation, delivered inaugural oration and also formally inaugurated the summit.  Prof. Dr. George Chandy Matteethra presided over the inaugural session, with the welcome address delivered by Dr. John Valliattu.
Shri Sumit Kumar Thakur, IAS, Sub Collector of Thiruvalla, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, felicitating Dr. Biju George and commending Believers Hospital and CMC Vellore as national benchmarks of healthcare excellence. 

Scientific sessions, panel discussions, and oral presentations by emerging researchers made for a day of rich learning — a fitting tribute to the spirit of the summit and to all those whose lives this field touches.
