Dr. Thomas joined Believers Hospital as a consultant in the PMR department. He comes with about 30 years of clinical experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in India and in USA. Dr. Thomas completed his MBBS from Pondicherry University and his master’s degree in Orthopedics Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine from USA. He has also done certification programs and having vast clinical experience in Ergonomics, Strength Training, Muscle Energy Techniques, Spinal and Joint Manipulations, Spinal Cord and Head Injury Rehabilitation, Movement Disorder Management, Orthotics & Prosthetics Management, Diabetic Foot Management, Kinesiotaping, Dry Needling, Chronic Pain Management, Industrial Rehabilitation, Work Conditioning & Work Hardening Programs and Wound Care Management. Dr. Thomas also done extensive training and worked in the area of clinical management, administration and quality control programs. Dr. Thomas is trained in Qualitative Research and has published paper titled, “Community Empowerment for School Health: Action Research”. He also won the FAIMER scholarship and presented his research paper in South Africa FAIMER conference. The Malayala Manorama newspaper has recognized Dr. Thomas Services in the rural tribal areas and published an extensive article in the newspaper. Dr. Thomas is also involved in various academic development & community awareness programs in India and in USA. He served as clinical coordinator and instructor for various universities in USA. He has taken lectures, clinical training and workshops for CMC, Vinayaka Mission Hospital, Sri Manakula Vinayakar Medical College and various community organizations.

Dr. Thomas’s clinical practice is a patient-centered holistic approach and evidence-based. He utilizes conservative clinical specialties like Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech Therapy prior to or in conjunction with any invasive or medication management. Patients are well informed regarding their clinical condition after detailed evaluation and given options for their treatments. The treatments are initiated after patient consent and understanding of their ailment and expected outcome.
