Dr. Luke Mathew did his MBBS from Trivandrum Medical College in 1982 after which he did his MD in General Medicine at CMC Ludhiana. After his post-graduation he was sent by CMC Ludhiana to Francis Newton Hospital Firozpur in Punjab as Chief Physician.

In 1986, Dr. Luke went to the UK where he joined the National Health Service and completed his MRCP and worked as a Registrar at the Russell Hall Hospital in Dudley, West Midlands. Following this, he did further training in Respiratory Medicine at New Cross Hospital and the Walsall Manor Hospital both in the West Midlands in the UK. He then worked for a short period as Consultant at the Walsall Manor Hospital and returned to India.

Dr. Luke served at the Christian Fellowship Hospital, Oddanchatram from the year 2000 to 2003. He was then invited by the Government of Brunei, Darussalam to head the Department of Respiratory Medicine in 2003 and worked in this capacity till 2016.

Dr. Luke joined the Believers Church Medical College Hospital in June, 2016 and has worked here since.
