Dr. Suman Varghese did his MBBS from Government T.D Medical College Alappuzha and MD from Government Medical College Kottayam. 

Dr. Suman is the recipient of Sarada Menon Gold medal and First rank in DNB Psychiatry at National level from National Board of Examinations,and got the award  from Honourable Minister for Health Dr. Bharathi Parvin at New Delhi.He is also 2nd rank holder from Kerala University of Health Sciences  . He has worked at Government medical College Kottayam after his MD as Senior Resident in General Adult Psychiatry  and was also the Senior Resident  in charge of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry clinic there.

He was later selected as International Training fellow with Pennine care NHS Foundation trust and has trained and worked as Clinical Fellow and Specialty Doctor in Old Age Psychiatry at Manchester, England. 

During the term, he was the Specialty Doctor at the Watergrove Memory Assessment Services at Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale ,England and has been involved with diagnosing Dementia and related Neuropsychiatric conditions referred from primary health care.

He has done CPD training in Psychotherapy and General Psychiatry with Masters level  credit points from Manchester Metropolitan University under the guidance of Consultant Psychiatrists working in Pennine care NHS Foundation trust.

Dr. Suman has presented his research with World Association of Social Psychiatry and Indian Psychiatric Society state branch conferences and and has been awarded prizes for the same.

Dr. Suman approaches patients systematically and provides holistic care taking into consideration that each human being and their mental health struggles are none alike.
