Overview

Gokul S.V. is a dedicated Medical Social Worker and Patient Counselor with specialized training in Family, Child, and Women Welfare Social Work, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counseling. He brings over three years of focused experience, including service with the Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP) under SDC, marked by a compassionate and holistic approach to patient care.

Currently serving in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR), Gokul provides comprehensive psychosocial support to patients and their caregivers. He assists individuals in coping with the emotional, social, and practical challenges that accompany medical diagnoses and the rehabilitation process. He plays a pivotal role in care coordination—connecting patients with vital resources to address financial difficulties, emotional distress, and social concerns.

As a strong patient advocate, Gokul upholds the principles of equitable access, patient rights, and dignity in healthcare. He is also deeply involved in community-based rehabilitation (CBR) efforts, working to reintegrate patients into their homes, communities, and workplaces
