He was a Post graduate teacher in Cardiology in Medical Colleges of Kerala from 1983 to 1991. He served as Consultant at the first comprehensive Paediatric Cardiac service in UAE at the Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi from 1991 to 2004. Later, he worked as the Head of Paediatric Cardiology at The Madras Medical Mission and Frontier Lifeline, Chennai from 2004 to 2014. He was an International Scholar in Pediatric Cardiology, Cleveland Clinic, the USA in 1997.
He served as Senior Consultant in Paediatric Cardiology at National Heart Centre, Royal Hospital, Muscat from 2014 to 2017. He piloted the humanitarian drive Hridayapoorvam Sakhyam, a joint initiative of The Madras Medical Mission and Malayala Manorama in which 400 underprivileged children with heart disease were operated free of cost. He is the author of over 30 publications and several textbook chapters and e-teacher for Paediatric Cardiology residents.
He was an Invited Speaker at UCSF Cardiology Grand Rounds and an Invited Faculty for CSI-Dubai, Frankfurt and UCSF. He was also the Course Director at Advanced Cardiovascular Therapeutics, The Madras Medical Mission, Chennai from 2006 to 2012 and 2019.
