Dr. Rony Thomas is a caring, erudite Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist trained at the Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. He has been practicing in this field since 9 years. He was a gold medalist and the best outgoing student during his MBBS course. He had secured first rank in DM state entrance examination 2008 and is the recipient of Dr. N. Jaikumar Memorial Award in 2001.

He is a skilled GI Endoscopist. His main interest is in luminal gastroenterology and hepatology. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) and has been Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the Federation of Royal College of Physicians of the UK and the British Society of Gastroenterology. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. He is a faculty and trainer for MRCP (UK) PACES examinations.

He has been invited as a speaker and faculty in various conferences. He also has publications in leading journals and presentations in international and national conferences. He is an Examiner of Diploma in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy technology and has been training DNB students in gastroenterology since past 8 years.
