Dr. Tony Mathew has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery, Believers Church Medical College Hospital since 2016.

After completing MBBS from Government Medical College Kottayam, he joined SN Medical College Bagalkot (affiliated to RGUHS Bengaluru) for post-graduate training in General Surgery. He did his senior residency in Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore before joining this institution.

His areas of expertise include head and neck surgeries (thyroid, parathyroid, salivary gland), breast diseases, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeries (appendix, gallbladder, and hernias), diabetic foot care, varicose vein surgeries. He was awarded a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery in 2018 and is also a Fellow of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES).
