Dr. Renji Mathew completed his graduation from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, internship from Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore and post-graduation from Christian Medical College (CMC), Ludhiana. He was trained under renowned Laparoscopic surgeons and has attained fellowships in Laparoscopic surgery from the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) and Indian Association of Gastro Enteric Surgeons (IAGES).
He has a keen interest in Laparoscopic Hernia, Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal and Anorectal surgeries. He is particularly interested in reducing the cost of Laparoscopic and Minimal Invasive surgeries by adopting modern technologies that are cost-efficient and at the same time safe to the patient.
He also performs comprehensive management of varicose vein patients including the minimal access treatment with Radio Frequency Ablation. He has expertise in managing a limb affected with Chronic Venous problems as a whole with all available techniques of Varicose vein management, both surgical and non-surgical.
He is well trained in the management of surgical emergencies and trauma surgeries. He is proficient in all ICU procedures required for surgical patients and is certified to perform BLS and ACLS protocols.
He has published several articles in national journals and has presented his papers at various national conferences. He likes to be loved as a teacher in Surgery and has gained appreciations of his students as an approachable mentor in Surgery.
