Dr. Abraham Mathew, Associate Professor in the Department of General Surgery with extensive surgical experience and a passion for providing holistic and empathetic care to his patients. He completed his MBBS from Govt Medical College, Trivandrum, and his post-graduation in MS General Surgery from VIMS, Bellary.

Dr. Mathew has completed several laparoscopic certificate courses, including FMAS, FIAGES, and laparoscopic hernia, which have honed his skills in performing advanced surgical procedures. He has served as a PG tutor and Assistant Professor in CMC Vellore for 4.5 years, and as an Assistant Professor in Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences for 5 years.

From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Mathew was a valuable member of our General Surgery team as an Associate Professor before leaving to work as a Senior Specialist in General Surgery at the Royal Oman Police Hospital. His surgical experience and interests include all major general surgical operations, both gastro and non-gastro, such as head and neck, thyroid, parathyroid, parotid, breast disease, and varicose veins. He has also been performing laparoscopic operations since 2008.

Dr. Mathew has volunteered to provide surgical care in remote and rural hospitals, including Duncan Hospital in Raxaul, Bihar, Asha Kiran Hospital in Lamtaput, Orissa, and CF hospital in Oddanchatram, TN.

 Dr. Mathew strives to provide the highest level of patient care, prioritizing patient safety as the paramount criterion. His dedication to his patients and passion for his work make him an invaluable member of our team.
