Overview

Dr. Benson Abraham is a senior  Consultant Cardiac Anaesthesiologist and Associate Professor of Anaesthesia with extensive  experience in cardiac anaesthesia and critical care.

He has been trained in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana and he obtained Fellowship in Adult and Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia and Cardiac Critical Care from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.

His expertise includes providing perioperative anaesthesia and post-operative critical care for all types of Adult Cardiovascular and Thoracic procedures as well as congenital heart surgeries. He is well versed in intraoperative Transesophageal Echocardiogram for assisting in various types of Valve repairs/ replacements, open heart surgeries  like cardiac tumors ,  HOCM,  and congenital heart surgeries. He is experienced in providing perioperative support in  minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS) as well as Video assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS). He has expertise in ECMO initialization and management, IABP insertion and management, Ultrasound guided nerve blocks, Percutaneous dilational tracheostomy and various other procedural skills. He has a number of publications in national and international journals and has been a regular faculty at national and state level conferences.
