Dr Vishnu S Chandran is a young and dynamic Rheumatologist heading the Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Services. He did his graduate studies from Jayadeva Jagadguru Murugarajendra Medical College, Davangere and joined for his postgraduation in MD Internal Medicine at the prestigious Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi.
After his postgraduation, he continued to work at Amrita teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has also guided many postgraduate students for their thesis.
His work on antibiotic selection in ESBL positive sepsis during his days as Assistant Professor at Amrita is internationally accredited.
He is also the author of an internationally accredited work on antibiotic selection in ESBL positive sepsis. Later he moved to Dr SMCSI Medical College Karakonam, Trivandrum.
His fascination for Rheumatology led him to join for DM in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. World Rheumatology Forum recognized his pioneering research work on Rheumatoid Arthritis with the best poster award. His research acumen is evident with the many presentations, awards and publications he has done over time.
