Associate Professor

Dr Elizabeth James is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine. She is well known for her clinical skills and compassionate nature, with over 25 years of clinical experience.

She did her graduation and post-graduation in Internal Medicine, from the prestigious Lokamanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion, Mumbai, 22. She has mented many UG and PG students in Mumbai, before taking up this job in Kerala. Her passion is promoting Vertical and Horizontal Online Integrated Teaching for UG and igniting the passion of Research among her students.

She is the Medicine Department’s champion for organizing various conferences like RHEUMACON-2017, RSSDE-2018, ID Conference- 2018, GERIACON-2019 and the latest COVIDCON- 2022. She has many publications to her credit.

Previous Experience

  • Has worked as Assistant Professor LTM Medical College, Mumbai for 5 years, till 1997.
  • Worked as Consultant Physician in a Private Multispecialty Hospital, Mavelikkara, Alappuzha, Kerala from 1997 to 2006.
  • Served in a small clinic (Nova Clinic) which was 3 bedded & catering for the poor, near the Govt. Hospital, Mavelikkara, Alappuzha, Kerala from 2007 to 2014.
  • Currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, BCMCH from 2015 till date.
