At Believers Hospital, we believe in the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of personalized care. Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) department stands as a beacon of hope, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to guide individuals on their journey to recovery from conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and chronic pain.
In the heart of our PMR department, a dedicated team of experts merges expertise with empathy. Our diverse team includes Physiatrists, Rehab Consultants, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Swallow Therapists, Psychologists, and Medical Social Workers. Together, we strive for holistic rehabilitation, ensuring that individuals with disabilities receive comprehensive and compassionate care.
The year 2023 was a remarkable chapter for our PMR department, filled with impactful activities and community engagement. We commemorated World Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month in September, organizing a free medical camp and awareness day dedicated to spinal cord injury survivors. As part of our commitment to accessibility, we distributed free electric wheelchairs, enabling greater mobility and independence.
One of the highlights of the year was our Secondary Hospital Program, where our team, alongside MBBS students, visited peripheral hospitals. This experience shed light on the unique needs and challenges faced by tribal communities. It inspired us to focus on enhancing accessibility to peripheral hospitals and fostering community integration.
As we reflect on the strides made in 2023, we extend our gratitude to the patients, caregivers, and communities that make our work meaningful. Believers Hospital's PMR department remains committed to transforming lives, one step at a time. If you or a loved one seeks personalized rehabilitation care, we are here to support your journey toward recovery.
