Dr. Praveen Kesav is a Neurologist known for his humane and caring nature as well as astute clinical skills. He received his super speciality training in Neurology from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh followed by post doctoral fellowship in Stroke from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, both being centres of National importance under the government of India. Prior to joining BCMCH, he was associated with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) as a Clinical Associate Staff Physician in the department of Neurology.

  • Recipient of the 5th National Torrent Young Scholar Award for the “Best Brain in Neurology” 2011-2012; a nationwide competition for final year DM Neurology residents, held at Torrent Research Centre, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India on 18th December 2011
  • Recieved best research paper award at “STROKECON 2012” at the 7th National congress of the Indian Stroke association held on March 9-11, 2012 at Pune, Maharashtra for “Validation of Transcranial Doppler for prediction of hematoma expansion in acute primary intracerebral hemorrhage”
  • Recieved best research paper award at “ISACON 2014” at the 9th National congress of the Indian Stroke association held on March 13-16, 2014 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala for “Delayed CT Swirl Sign predicts outcome in acute spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage”
