God's Grace at Thiruvalla

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

We, the children and grandchildren of Susamma Koshy extend our gratitude to Believers Church Medical College Hospital for the hospitality and love shown to our beloved mother. Believers hospital was a second home to our ammachi for the past few years. During these years she was given the best possible treatment and was showered with love and affection by some very special doctors, nurses and management staff members.  We would like to specially thank Prof. Dr. George Chandy, Director and CEO of Believers Hospital. He was always there to make sure that there was no compromise in the quality of treatment as far as ammachi was concerned. We would also like to thank Dr. Luke Mathew (Pulmonology) and other doctors and staff of the department. Dr. Luke is part of the family, and ammachi had absolute faith in his abilities. She would not proceed with any new treatments without the approval of this wonderful pair of doctors. Another doctor who was very close to ammachi’s heart was Dr. Anulekha M. John (Endocrinology). She treated our ammachi like her own mother and always visited her after duty to ensure ammachi was well taken care of. We would also like to especially mention Dr. Ravi Cherian Mathew (Cardiology) and Dr.  Rajesh Joseph (Nephrology) for their sincere and loving care as also their genuine concern for ammachi’s health.  We are also very grateful to Liju Varghese (Senior Manager Ops Dept) and Mrs. Rajini (Pulmonology staff). Liju was always only a moment’s notice away and he did everything possible to make ammachi’s stay in the hospital more comfortable. Mrs. Rajini was the sole reason ammachi was able to celebrate her last Onam in the hospital in a grand manner. She prepared Onam sadhya at home and packed it for ammachi to enjoy in the hospital. She always went the extra mile for our ammachi, giving her all the attention she needed and more.  Ammachi passed away comfortably in the hospital on the 19th November 2018. She was surrounded by angels who cared for her and loved her. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel towards these doctors, nurses and the management staff. We are happy that this hospital gives the best possible treatment to all patients, who come here, in equal measure. Our prayers are always with the hospital and its staff, and we wish them the very best. May this hospital grow from strength to strength and become an icon for health care in the days to come.
