God's Grace at Thiruvalla

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

Gynec Oncology

We have a highly specialized and skilled Gynecological Oncology department in BCMCH.

The vision, compassion and care given by the team is not only patient friendly but is aimed to give holistic care without compromising on complete and appropriate management of the cancer, following the latest guidelines and taking into consideration the latest research in the field.

Our work encompasses screening of the general and high risk population for early detection of cancer (PAP smear, pipelle biopsy), early diagnosis by various diagnostic modalities (D&C, Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy, CT scan, MRI, Tumor Markers and modern technologies like Frozen Section which gives us an intra-operative diagnosis so that major surgical decisions can be made during the primary surgery itself).

All important decisions regarding every patient are arrived at after a multidisciplinary Tumour board discussion.

The surgical management will be individualized as per every patient's disease type, status and stage of disease. Our team has considerable expertise in Open and Minimally invasive surgical management of carcinoma. It includes Open and Laparoscopic Staging surgeries, suited for the patient's disease as per the most current international guidelines.

Multidisciplinary surgical approach, with the involvement other specialists will be accessed during the surgery in case of extensive and aggressive tumours.

The Post operative care and the Follow up management will be scrupulously planned and carried out.
