Cancers of the Gastrointestinal tract are common in Kerala. At Believers Regional Institute of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Transplantation, (BRIGHT) we aim to relieve every patient's suffering by offering a comprehensive treatment plan. Every case is extensively discussed and multidisciplinary tumor boards are conducted for every cancer patient. As a result, it is possible to assess the extent of disease properly and then decide on a treatment plan which would be best for the patient.
Cancers of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, appendix, colorectal tumors, retroperitoneal tumors, cancers of the pancreas, bile ducts, gall bladder, liver, lymph nodes have all been treated at this hospital. Major surgeries such as total gastrectomy, liver resections, Whipple surgery, anterior resection, abdominoperineal resection including laparoscopic surgeries are routinely performed with low morbidity and mortality rates. Endoscopic procedures ranging from diagnostic studies to stenting are also done where needed.
Cancer screening can help in detecting many diseases at an early treatable stage, and hence it is done at low cost in the hospital.
Cancer care is a long process, and at Believers Hospital, we partner with each patient so that he is restored to a healthy life.
