World Stroke Organization Award Ceremony and Inauguration of Believers Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (B.I.N.D.S)

The department of neurology has always been a reliable team of doctors. They came together to provide the best care to patients who came to Emergency Medicine suffering from a stroke. An initiative to lower the after-effects of stroke in patients through timely diagnosis and treatment. As a part of this initiative, the doctors of the neurological department have seen and catered to thousands of patients who have been suffering from a stroke. With an average of two emergency stroke patients on a day-to-day basis.

Based on the performance of our stroke team, World Stroke Organisation who conduct the Angel Awards every consecutive year decided to confer the stroke team with the Diamond Award. The Diamond Award status is deemed to be the highest honour in the Angel Awards category. Which have only been awarded to two hospitals in Kerala, one of them being Believers Church Medical College Hospital. The award ceremony of the same was conducted on November 1, 2021, at 4:45 PM. The award was presented to Dr Deep P Pillai and Dr Anilkumar Sivan by Rev Fr Alexander J Kurien, Senior Executive, Deputy Administrator and Executive Director of United State Government, Washington D.C 

It was followed by the inauguration of the Believers Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (B.I.N.D.S), in which Rev Fr Alexander Kurien passed the light to the Head of the Department Dr John K John and proceeded to bless and thank them for their new and very  promising undertaking.
