Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) is an academic institution committed to ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training, and research in the field of healthcare. KUHS also aims at creating uniformity among the various academic programs in medical and related subjects in Kerala. The university is located in Thrissur, Kerala.
KU's mission is to provide professional education in health care to all colleges and institutions in Kerala. To date, 296 professional colleges have been affiliated with the University.
Rev fr Dr Sijo Pandapallil was recently elected as a member of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) senate. The post of Managers of Private Medical and Allied Colleges was offered to him.
Rev Fr Dr Sijo Pandapallil has ordained clergy with the Believers Eastern Church. He is the Managing Director of Believers Church Medical College Hospital located in Thiruvalla, Kerala, one of the best private medical facilities in the country. He is also the present official spokesperson and Public Relations Officer of Believers Eastern Church
Fr. Sijo Pandapallil was born in a Roman Catholic family in Aralam, Kannur District. After His Pre-Degree at the University of Calicut, he left for Kolkata for his higher studies. He obtained his theological degrees from Kolkata and got his Masters in Management from Martin Luther Christian University.
For more than 10 years he served the villages of North East India based out of Kolkata. He was instrumental in establishing a child care project called Bridge of Hope in West Bengal and the other North Eastern States. He was also part of the team that initiated service to leprosy-affected people in Purulia, West Bengal.
