CME on Nutrition Management of Critically Ill Surgical Patients

The Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics conducted CME on Nutrition Management of  Critically Ill Surgical Patients : Myths To Evidence by Dr Krishnan Sriram (MBBS, FRCS(C) FCCM FACS- Tele intensivist Veterans Integrated Services Network(VISN), Chicago  and Dr Sangeeth PS (MBBS DA MD PDCC Consultant Transplant Anaesthetist)  on 19th January  2019  at Believers church Medical College Hospital . The CME focused on team education on  Nutritional aspects of  Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)  and management of critically ill surgical patients. The aspect of nutrition is an essential component of enhanced recovery programs, including the omission of presurgical fasting, oral carbohydrate load, and early initiation of oral intake after surgery.
